Battello is an extraordinary chef-inspired casual dining restaurant set on a Jersey City pier with an awesome view of the lower Manhattan skyline.

Co- owned and operated by managing partner Cory Checket and Executive Chef Ryan DePersio.

Corey Checket, a certified sommelier, Cory oversees the beverage program.

Chef DePersio received his formal culinary training at NY Restaurant School and honed his skills at many famed restaurants including the four-star restaurant, Jean Georges. in NYC, The famed Enoteca Pinchiorri in Florence, Italy. Ryan has also been featured on the Today Show, Food Network and Tony Tantillo's. Ryan DePersio also operates Fascino's restaurant in Montclair, NICO Kitchen + Bar in Newark, and the Kitchen Step, in Jersey City.

Chef DePersio's oversees a well-executed seasonally changing new American menu with Italian influences. The menu features many seafood and pasta dishes prepared with fresh ingredients. His "Italian without borders" philosophy is exemplified in the variety of fresh homemade pasta dishes.
